AOL Teams with Lux for Better Messaging
SEATTLE, August 20, 2006
The Lux Group, a Seattle-based online design, development, and content services company, announced today that it has recently launched two new websites for America Online (AOL). The sites support AOL’s Tegic/T9 Text Input Solutions brands.
“We are thrilled about the launch of these two exciting and highly interactive websites,” said Todd Tibbetts, president of Lux. “Tegic is the industry leader in the field of predictive text, and we are honored to be working with such a world-class organization.”
Tegic is a subsidiary of AOL and provides messaging software to manufacturers of wireless messaging devices. The Tegic website (http://www.tegic.com) addresses the needs of companies that make, sell, license, and distribute devices.
T9® is Tegic’s most widely-distributed product. The T9 predictive text technology makes text messaging intuitive, easy, and fun. T9 is on nearly every phone produced, yet some consumers don’t know how to use it. The T9 website (http://www.t9.com) helps users to better understand and use the product through the use of exciting and fun interactive games and tools.
The Tegic website project updated the business-to-business online property, creating a new design and straightforward navigation. The Lux solution for the T9 site includes design elements and interactivity, appealing to the site’s young, technology-savvy audience.
Both websites benefit from a thorough information architecture analysis, newly developed content, beautiful graphic design, and sensible navigation.
T9 goes a step further, providing interactivity – users can experiment with the text messaging software on the site. Also, brief instructional multimedia lessons serve up interesting tutorials.
Lux is continuing to work with AOL on updates and improvements to its website properties.
