Lux Launches Washington State Convention and Trade Center Website
August 9, 2005 - Seattle
Lux, a Seattle-based online design, development, and documentation company, announced today that it has recently launched a new website for Washington State Convention and Trade Center (WSCTC).
WSCTC hosts thousands of events every year from small events to large, intimate to public, 50 to 5,000 attendees. Located in Seattle's downtown retail and business core, WSCTC is a hub of activity. Services include award-winning catering, cutting edge presentation and audience technology packages, a beautiful contemporary art collection and rotating exhibits, and much more. WSCTC draws corporate customers nationally and guests from around the world.
Lux won its bid, in a Request for Quote process against 14 other companies, to design and develop a website which would reflect the expertise of WSCTC's team and state of the art facilities. Lux worked closely with WSCTC to develop a branding and messaging strategy, then shot digital photographs and created a design to support this strategy. Additionally, information architecture drove the process as the design was planned around the likely web site users. The design supports the needs of event planners, exhibitors, and guests. As part of the website build, Lux also integrated a content management system that allows non-technical WSCTC staff to easily update the website.
