Valley Medical Center Website Launches
August, 2002
Earlier this summer, Lux was chosen to create a new online presence for Valley Medical Center, a health care network committed to improving the overall health of our community. The new site features a complete graphic redesign, 360 degree views of important centers of excellence and common areas, and an easy-to-use content management system that allows rapid updates.
"The site is a great way to extend Valley Medical's outreach into the community," said Sheila Hanson, manager for pr, marketing and community outreach. "Lux has helped us crystallize a new online image. We are certainly excited about the results and plan to offer more information and services to the community via the Internet."
Added Phil Perry, director of information services for VMC, "We appreciate Lux updating and improving our underlying online systems -- on time and on budget."
Built for the Microsoft Windows NT hosting platform, the site offers valuable feature healthcare stories, doctor and clinic databases, and special insight into Valley Medical's Web Nursery, Breast Center, and Center for Joint Replacement. Special sections include an interactive slideshow featuring narration by Tracey Conway of Almost Live.

"Whenever the Internet can offer practical important information for users, clients, and the overall well-being of the community, there is value. In the case of valleymed.org, the value touches the entire community and we're proud to be a part of it," said Lux Director Jayson Jarmon.
Valley Medical Center provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient hospital services and clinics providing primary and specialty care from Newcastle to Auburn, as well as occupational health and behavioral health services. Valley Medical is a recent second place winner of Washington CEO magazine's Best Companies to Work for In Washington State.
