The Regence Group Standard Health Questionnaire
The Regence Group came to Lux in early 2006 to test the 400-question, Standard Health Questionnaire (SHQ) and to ensure that it met the standards governed in the State of Washington.
During a previous project, Lux collaborated with the Washington State Health Insurance Pool (WSHIP) to create and implement this set of standards.
Every insurance company in the State of Washington that wants to implement the SHQ must comply with these standards. Lux is the certified authority that determines if providers meet the standards.
For the Regence Group, the Lux quality assurance test team developed a test plan. The plan was used to coordinate the test team as they examined the SHQ on different computers and browsers.
The team recorded all tests to ensure that all potential user scenarios were examined. Upon completion of the test phase, Lux produced a report which documented the compliance details for Regence.
The Regence Group is the Northwest’s largest network of insurance plans, including Regence Blue Shield and Regence Blue Cross/Blue Shield. They serve nearly 3 million people in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Utah with more than $6.5 billion in combined premiums.
